WHO WE ARE
rnumis was created in 2012 by Dr. Steven Moulding, collector and published researcher in Russian numismatics. Dr. Moulding's papers include a series of articles published in the Journal of the Russian Numismatic Society, titled "From Easy to Impossible: Studies of Rarity in Imperial Russian Numismatics".
Dr. Moulding's research interests also include the Ancient Greek coinage of Magna Graecia & he is currently building a provenance resource for the coins of Sicily.
This website grew out of an initial need to lighten the shelves of our library, sagging under the weight of many hundreds of auction catalogs. The vision quickly grew to include user-friendly research tools connected to Ancient & Russian Numismatics and Literature. A number of resources are now at various stages of consideration and development. Watch this space!
While we do occasionally offer numismatic books, our main literature interest lies in auction catalogs. We especially like those from pre-war Europe, but do also buy and sell catalogs
from all periods right up to the present day.
Finally, in addition to buying and selling literature, Dr. Moulding is also an active collector (and occasional seller) of Imperial Russian coins,
and has been an eBay member for more than 15 years, using the ID "russiancopper".
SHIPPING
rnumis is based in New York City.
Within the United States we generally use USPS Media Mail. Shipping Costs shown in the Paypal cart are based on weight. If more than one catalog is ordered, the shipping cost should combine correctly (up to around 20lbs) and will be based on the total weight of the order. If you prefer another shipping carrier, or require insurance, priority mail etc. please contact us before or after your purchase to arrange this.
To other countries mailing is now quite expensive. We think USPS International Package rates are still the cheapest option and we can provide you the cost before or after your purchase. Also, standard international package shipping is at the buyer's risk. However, extra services such as USPS International Registered Mail can be arranged.
Please note: we do not add any extra 'handling' charges. We make absolutely no money on shipping, which is as it should be!
RETURNS
We try to describe catalogs as accurately as we can, noting any serious defects. We don't encourage returns, but in the unlikely event that you are unhappy please contact us to discuss!
Thank you for visiting!
